Steve Smith had a one man exhibition exhibition in the Cuban town of Remedios during the month of November 2009. The venue for the exhibition was the Museum "Las Parrandas de Remedios. All of the images were images taken at the 2008 Las Parandas de Remedios, Cuba.

Local artists have adopted one of the images "San Salvador" which now appears as a mural on the site of the old town hall. The town hall was raised to the ground by a petrol bomb apparently thrown by Che Guevara during the Cuban Revolution. The building was cleared and is now a small paved area off the main square within the town of Remedios

This festival is held every year on Christams Eve starting at approximately 5pm and finishing at daybreak the next morning.
